Campground Policies
- Check-in:
Anytime after 1:00 pm for RV and Tent sites.
Anytime after 2:00 pm for the Cabins or Cottages.
Check-out:
Check-out on your last morning is by 12:00 noon for RV and Tent sites.
Check-out on your last morning is by 11:00 am for the Cabins or Cottages.
Visitors:
Must register at the office and are subject to the same daily rates as "Additional Persons." Must leave the campground by 10:00 pm or pay additional daily rates. No more than 6 people per site INCLUDING visitors (8 people for the cottages, 4 people for the cabins).
Pets:
Please visit our Pet Policy page. All of our camping cabins and cottages are strictly designated NON-SMOKING and NON-PET. Violators will be charged a $50.00 per day cleaning fine and will be asked to leave WITHOUT a refund!
KOA’s National Reservation/Cancellation Guidelines:
A deposit for your first night will be charged when you make your reservation. Deposits can be made by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover). No personal checks or American Express accepted.
Cancellations:
If you cancel before these deadlines you will receive your deposit refund, minus a $10 cancellation fee per site. *All cancellations will incur a $10 cancellation fee. Reservations made after these deadlines require nonrefundable deposits. Cancellations made after deadlines will result in forfeiture of all deposits.
RV/Tent Sites: 48 hours required. Notify your selected KOA by 4 p.m. TWO DAYS before your scheduled arrival date.
Cabins/Cottages: 7 days required. Notify your selected KOA by 4 p.m. ONE WEEK before your scheduled arrival date.
"NO SHOWS" WILL BE CHARGED THE ESTIMATED FULL AMOUNT OF THEIR ENTIRE STAY! If you can't come, please call and cancel. Your deposit holds your site for the first night until 9:00 am the following morning, at which time it will be cancelled.
Cabins/Cottages minimum stays- Beginning Mid-May, there will be a two-night minimum stay required for all weekend cabin/cottage reservations. Any combination of Thursday/Friday, Friday/Saturday, or Saturday/Sunday is acceptable. The FULL AMOUNT for the stay will be charged as a deposit at the time the reservation is made if the stay includes a weekend night. The deposit is refunded (less a $10 fee per cabin/cottage) if the cabin/cottage reservation is cancelled prior to the one week deadline. No refunds on the Cabins or Cottages for early departure. Easter Weekend will require a two night minimum stay and full stay deposit for all cabin and cottage reservations. The 30 day Holiday/Special Event Cancellation policy (see below) applies to all cabin or cottage reservations for UVA graduation weekend.
Date Change:
If you have to change your reservation date, we allow ONE date change, as long as the change is made prior to the National KOA Cancellation Deadline (see above) OR our HOLIDAY Cancellation Deadline (see below). We do not allow reservation date changes once the reservation falls within the cancellation period.
Holiday and Special Event Time Periods:
All HOLIDAY WEEKEND or SPECIAL EVENT reservations require a 30 day in advance notice if the reservation has to be cancelled or changed. If you cancel 30 days in advance you will receive your deposit back, MINUS a $10 cancellation fee. If you cancel LESS than 30 days in advance you will forfeit your ENTIRE DEPOSIT amount. All holiday reservations require a minimum nights stay for all site types (2 or 3 nights depending on the holiday). Any reservation that includes ANY part of a holiday weekend is subject to the holiday cancellation policy and the minimum night stay requirement. RV & Tent Sites: A first night's deposit is required at the time the reservation is made. Cabins/Cottages: Require a FULL STAY deposit at the time the reservation is made for Weekend and Holiday stays. The 30 day Holiday/Special Event Cancellation applies to all cabin or cottage reservations for UVA graduation weekend.
